I’m Christina Busse, owner of Mother Clutter, LLC. Mother Clutter was born out of the knowledge that I’m a mother, I’m also cluttered and yet I love getting organized and creating strategies to come BACK TO very easily. I have a 20-year old daughter and 4-year old twins, so I’ve been around the block. From nesting for baby(s), to a college send-off, I’ve seen much of the parenting spectrum.

Professionally, I am a former preschool and kindergarten teacher as well as an administrator of Parke Place Family Center at Pfizer. With a background in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, I have an understanding of how children tick, what works best from an organizational perspective, as well as age-appropriate products, systems, schedules and activities. I spent my time at Pfizer serving the whole family, supporting parents every step of the way, no matter what the dilemma.

My older daughter came up with Mother Clutter as the name for our company. She knows how often her mom lets the undercover (and not-so undercover) expletives fly when overwhelmed. “MOTHER CLUTTER” was a keeper.

Mother Clutter is about wrangling ALL the clutter of life, not only a closet or playroom. We can meet your cable guy, do your grocery shopping, plan your oh-so overwhelming party, pack you up for your move to Hawaii, as well as sift through your bazillion digital photos. Have an older parent flying the family coop and downsizing? Seniors are some of our favorite clients.

Aside from toilets and diapers, we'll take care of it, Whatever the monkey…we’ll get it off your back.

How much will your services cost?

What is the frustration with your cluttered-up life costing you? To answer your question, we offer competitive rates and light your fire packages that offer big savings to you. Consulting and coaching are fantastic services, which are also great cost-saving options. For a limited time, we are offering free assessments and discounts on our hourly rates. Get ‘em while the gettins’ good!


How long will my project take?

That will be determined at the initial assessment. We will come up with an action plan and provide you with a job estimate. Rest assured, we will never charge more than the maximum time quoted. To work most efficiently and limit the time needed for the project at hand, there are a few variables YOU have control over. For example, how quickly you say ‘yea’ or ‘nay’ when sorting, how well you limit distractions (corralling the kids) and last but not least completing homework assignments between sessions. All of these factors contribute to less time on the project, translating to savings for you.


Do I need to get rid of all of my stuff?

If you simply need help organizing, no. but if you’re buried and unable to use or love the things around you, then yes it would be advisable to edit some of your things. You are in the driver’s seat, we cannot tell you what you should treasure. Just remember, ‘no pain, no gain’. Liberation being the gain!


I’m embarrassed. How can I let you see my mess?

No shame in the game of improving family systems, whether space or time. Some of my best before and after photos are of my own house!


Do I have to purchase expensive systems or products?

Nope. Only if you want.


I’m overwhelmed, where do I begin?

That’s why you’re calling us! We will come up with a list of organizing priorities and action plan and take it one drawer, one closet, one room at a time until nirvana is achieved. How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!


Will you solve all of my organizing woes?

We’ll set you on your way, but ‘the road to success is always under construction’, or as I like to say, ‘organizing is a journey, not a destination’. We will work to give you the tools you need to take the bull by the horns and maintain all that you accomplish. But as with cleaning and exercise, organizing IS a constant in our lives. However, when we develop new and improved habits and routines it all becomes much more manageable.

We use 20% of our stuff 80% of the time. We’ll develop effective strategies to keep
you from needing that bigger house! We also take your cast-offs for recycling, donation,
consignment or disposal to bring you immediate relief in your space. We will provide
tax receipts for all donations.

Ebay and Craigslist posting services provided as well as garage sale organizing so you
can get some money out of that clutter.
